Directly opposite the popular Wilhelminapier, this district will open from the end of 2023 where living, shopping, eating & drinking, working, relaxing, hotel accommodation, art and design merge into a vibrant waterfront location. With 185,000 m² of surface area, the Rotterdam Rijnhaven District will be an impressive expansion of the city center. Original parts of Katendrecht are united with contemporary new construction, creating a beautiful contrast between historic and modern design. Here, metropolitan style will be added to the authentic history of a worldly port city, that grows into a city on two riverbanks.

A history full of surprises
The Rotterdam Rijnhaven District is being realized on the famous Katendrecht peninsula, which is also called De Kaap by residents of Rotterdam. It is a city district with a fascinating history. In the last decades, the neighborhood has transformed from a rugged harbor neighborhood for sailors, into one of the liveliest entertainment areas.

The Rotterdam Rijnhaven District has a convenient location. The metro from the adjacent Rijnhaven metro station will take you to Rotterdam Central Station within ten minutes. From here the world is at your feet. With the high-speed train you are only a few hours away from Paris (three hours) and London (four hours). Or grab the Intercity Direct and you'll be at Schiphol Airport half an hour later. Do you prefer traveling by car? No problem, you can reach Rotterdam The Hague Airport in a 30-minute drive.
Visitors to the Rotterdam Rijnhaven District can park their car in the underground Q-Park parking garage of the district, which has around 1,000 parking places. Within the city, the unusual transport by water taxi is also recommended!
